MyCROCEMENT™ is brand new. We’re at the very beginning — the stage where every decision feels bigger than it is, and every piece of feedback matters more than it should.
So when it came time to decide whether we should go to DIY CON, I did something a little ridiculous: I sat on a fence and asked people to vote YES or NO.
Not thousands of people. Not a massive audience. Just… whoever happened to see it.
And honestly? That’s exactly the point.
Day 1: The Fence Moment
I posted the first video expecting almost nothing — because MyCROCEMENT™ is literally just starting. We don’t have a huge following yet. We don’t have a big community. We’re building from zero.
So the vote was small. Really small.
Not all, but most of the people who responded were people I actually know — friends, creators I’ve talked to, people who’ve watched the brand take its first steps.
And every single one of them said YES.
But here’s the thing: A small unanimous vote doesn’t automatically mean the decision is clear. It just means the people closest to me believe in the idea.
I’m grateful for that. But I still want more voices. More perspectives. More direction.
Because early‑stage founders don’t just need support — they need clarity.
Day 2: The Cushion Era
By Day 2, I realized I wasn’t done. I wasn’t convinced. I wasn’t ready to make the call.
So I stayed on the fence — literally — and added a cushion.
Not because it helped the decision. But because it helped me stay in the moment long enough to ask again.
The vote was still small. The YES was still unanimous. And the storyline started to grow.
People began following the absurdity of it. people started wondering and asking “What’s next?”
Day 2 made something clear: People don’t just want polished launches. They want the messy middle — the part where founders hesitate, rethink, laugh at themselves, and ask for help.
And that’s exactly where MyCROCEMENT is right now.
Why DIY CON Matters
DIY CON isn’t just an event. It’s a chance to introduce MyCROCEMENT™ to the DIY world in a way that feels real and creator‑friendly.
Not corporate. Not scripted. Not “here’s our booth.”
But: “Here’s the founder who sat on a fence for two days trying to decide whether to show up.”
It’s authentic. It’s human. It’s early‑stage. And it’s exactly the kind of story creators connect with.
Crowdsourcing the Decision
MyCROCEMENT™ is built for DIYers, makers, and creators — people who transform spaces with their own hands.
So even if the vote was small, it mattered. But I still want more voices. More opinions. More direction.
This isn’t about getting thousands of votes. It’s about building a community from the ground up — one honest moment at a time.
And right now, the community is telling me something… but I’m not done listening yet.
What Happens Next
Day 3 escalated even further — but that’s a story for the next post.
For now, the fence is still holding, the cushion is still in place, and the decision is still open.
If you want to vote, drop a YES or NO on any of the posts across Instagram, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, Threads, or Facebook.
