Is MyGUARD sealer required?
Yes. Microcement is inherently porous until sealed. MyGUARD locks out moisture, prevents staining, provides UV protection, and makes the surface easy to clean.
How many coats of MyGUARD are needed?
Apply two coats for standard walls and furniture. For high-moisture or high-traffic areas—such as shower enclosures, floors, and kitchen countertops—apply three coats. Periodic reapplication preserves long-term water resistance, prevents surface wear, and maintains the original finish.
How long until the sealed surface can get wet?
Allow 24 hours for light foot traffic or light handling. Wait 7 full days for the sealer to achieve full chemical cure and complete water resistance.
What finish sheen does MyGUARD provide?
MyGUARD dries to a subtle, natural matte finish that protects without creating an overly shiny or plastic appearance.
How do I clean and maintain a MyGUARD-sealed surface?
Clean with mild, pH-neutral soaps and warm water. Avoid harsh bleach, acidic descalers, or abrasive scouring pads.
*PPE & Cleanliness Notice: Sanding and mixing powders create airborne dust hazards. Always wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), including a fitted dust mask/respirator (N95+), protective eyewear, and gloves. Use adequate ventilation or active dust extraction. Wear suitable footwear to avoid transferring dust outside the work area.
