How Many Kits Do You Need?
Calculate material quantities for your room, shower, or countertop project. Because our MyCROCEMENT™ arrives pre-hydrated and ready to apply, coverage estimates are very predictable—no dry-powder volume shrinkage or liquid polymer mixing ratios required.
Coverage Calculator
Estimate how much MyCROCEMENT you’ll need for a two-coat application. Real coverage depends on surface texture and applicator technique — enter your area to see the full range.
Coverage figures (55–90 ft² per kit) already include the full two-coat application. Texture, substrate porosity, and applicator experience all affect real-world yield — ordering at the conservative (55 ft²) rate helps you avoid a mid-project shortage.

Step 1: Consider Your Substrate and adjust the amount of MyPRIMER (once properly primed, the amount of MyCROCEMENT™ is the same and ideally should not be less or more than 2 coats. MyPRIMER must cover 100% of the application surface and drying/curing times are critical.
- [ ] Smooth Surface (Drywall, Backerboard, Plaster): less absorbent > minimum 1 coat of MyPRIMER
- [ ] Tiled Surface (Ceramic, Porcelain, Mosaic): less absorbent, but requires grout line filling) > minimum 1 coat of MyPRIMER
- [ ] Horizontal / High Traffic (Concrete Slab, Subfloor, Countertops) > minimum 2 coats of MyPRIMER
- [ ] Porous or Slightly Uneven Surface (OSB, Plywood, MDF): more absorbent > minimum 2 coats of MyPRIMER
Step 2: Project Dimensions

Step 3: Recommended System Output
- MyPRIMER: Included in kit
- Optional MyBASE Coat Paste:

[ 1 ]Bucket (5 kg/11 lbs) - MyGUARD Sealer: Included in kit
System Coverage Quick Reference
| Substrate & Project Type | System Layers Included | Total Coverage per 1-Gallon Bucket | Recommended System Build |
| Walls & Low-Wear Areas (Smooth Drywall) | 2 MyCROCEMENT™ Coats | 55++ sq. ft. | MyPRIMER + MyCROCEMENT™ (x2) + MyGUARD |
| Tiled Walls & Showers (Grout Lines Present) | 2 MyBASE Coats + 2 MyCROCEMENT™ Coats | 55+ sq. ft. | Grout line filler + MyPRIMER + optional MyBASE (x2) + MyCROCEMENT™ + MyGUARD |
| Floors (High Wear / Impact) | 2 MyCROCEMENT™ Coats or Optional 2 MyBASE Coats + 2 MyCROCEMENT™ Coats | 55+ sq. ft. | MyPRIMER + MyBASE + MyCROCEMENT™ (x2) + MyGUARD |
| Countertops & Vanities (Smooth, No Grout Lines) | 2 MyCROCEMENT™ Coats | 55++ sq. ft. | MyPRIMER + MyCROCEMENT™ (x2) + MyGUARD |
Step 4: Recommended Sealing
MyGUARD Sealer: generally minimum 1 coat, more in high wear/wet areas and periodically reapplied to preserve the protection from wear and waterprrofing. Must cover 100% of the application surface and drying/curing times are critical.
How to Measure Complex Spaces Accurately
- Bathrooms & Wet Rooms: Measure total wall height multiplied by length. Subtract window openings, but do not subtract small shower niches—troweling inside niches uses extra material due to edge work.
- Countertops & Waterfall Edges: Measure total horizontal surface area plus all vertical drops (waterfalls, front aprons, and backsplash heights).
- Stairs & Risers: Calculate each tread (depth × width) plus each riser (height × width) and add 15% extra material for tight corner trowel loading.
Why You Need a Complete System
A durable microcement installation relies on chemical adhesion across four distinct product layers:
- 1. Substrate Primer (MyPRIMER): Locks down miniscule dust particles, creates a base moisture barrier and creates a high-tack surface for the base paste to grip.
- 2. Optional Base Coat Paste (MyBASE): Formulated with coarse aggregate to bridge minor imperfections, fill grout lines, and embed fiberglass mesh to reinforce substrate and strengthen the MyCROCEMENT™ layers..
- 3. MyCROCEMENT™ Coat Paste: Formulated with fine micro-silica to deliver smooth burnishing, color depth, and tactile finish options.
- 4. Polyurethane Sealer (MyGUARD): Penetrates the cured matrix to block water absorption, stains, and daily UV exposure and provide durability.
